Main Activity

Manufacture and commercialisation of global solutions in perforated sheet metal and expanded metal. IMAR develops complete solutions based on perforated sheet metal and expanded metal technology aimed at the world of construction and industry. The basic construction applications are directed at exteriors (façades, enclosures, soundproofing, urban furniture, etc) and interiors (ceilings, interior aesthetics, etc). The series of applications in industry is greatly varied and ranges from the world of automobiles, electrical household appliances, railways or furnishings to bakeries, the wine sector or mining.

Concept to Investigate

Investigate new applications for perforated sheet metal and expanded metal, mainly in the field of construction and urban furniture, placing emphasis on interactive development with people and surroundings. Aiming to investigate uses more than the material.

Team to Collaborate with Artists

The R&D&I area comprises three people: two engineers and one economist. It is carrying out a three-year technological plan and working within a collaborative project with two research centres (Gaiker and Teckniker) and two companies from the fields of sensoria and coatings, with which it aims to develop new products in the field of construction and urbanism, using intelligent materials and new applications from the aforementioned fields. The artists work with a multidisciplinary team comprising the R&D team with two engineers, the head of business development (economist), head of marketing and two other people from the commercial and/or administrative area of the company. Based on the development of the project, another collaborator may enter from the world of design or from any of the technologies in which IMAR is working in its technological plan.
