Cuantics is an innovation laboratory whose mission is to create products, campaigns or services beyond the conventional. It was established in 2006 and attained recognition in the shape of an award for business project of the year. Today it is a conglomeration of researchers, whose consultancy work has covered companies such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, Euskaltel and bodies that include the BEC and Athletic de Bilbao.
Collaborating with IKERTIA will be: Diego Soroa, who studied architecture at ETSA Madrid and was awarded a scholarship by the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago), where he began his research into new urban concepts, biomimetics and sensorial technologies; Carmen Paz, also an ETSAM Architect and recipient of a Chicago ITT scholarship award, who incorporates her experience in video, graphic design and the web within her architectural production; and Belén Butragueño, an ETSA Madrid Architect and Doctor, whose work focuses on experimental architecture and points of junction with other artistic disciplines, and who combines her professional activity with teaching work at the school. They will work with IKERTIA in order to develop a proposal from Hardware Social aimed at stimulating public interaction in spaces devoted to health emergencies.
