Bilbao (Bizkaia), 2001. Ricardo Antón (Bilbao, 1974), Txelu Balboa (Vitoria - Gasteiz, 1974), Iván Barrio (Bilbao, 1980), Oihana Bonilla (Getxo, 1980), Javi Modino (Frama, Santander, 1981), and María Pérez (Bilbao, 1976) live in Bilbao.

AMASTÉ is an office of ideas specialised in strategies of social-cultural mediation, applied creativity to I+D+I processes and non-conventional communication (below the line, marketing de guerrilla, viral...). We understand our artistic training and perspective to mean, work as somewhere halfway between multimedia communication, design, sociology, marketing, cultural management or pedagogy, creating processes and related and participative devices that harness creativity and imagination as tools for social, economic and political development.

Some of their projects, in order to obtain a clearer and better picture about our activity: Casi tengo 18, a project with teenagers, which at the same time is a magazine, summer work camps or a video competition made with the mobile phone; Workshop about Trash, is a programme of participatory activities about trash and sustainability; Bilbao Storming, a brain storming campaign carried out in Bilbao to promote “El día de la persona emprendedora”; Emancipator Bubble, a project carried out together with Saioa Olmo, about the each time increasingly later and later emancipation of today’s young people; ESETÉ, a magazine about urban culture and social anthropology subject matters in each issue; ETECÉ, a magazine about tendencies of free distribution in Euskadi; SelecciónLAB, a creativity platform by Ron PAMPERO or Línea denim para pollos desnudos, a project for LOIS in a design pattern.
