DISONANCIAS gives precedence to multidisciplinary artists committed to society.
Artists with a commitment to society
Artists who stand for art that is more closely linked to social and economic ambits, and consider their work as a hybrid process of investigation (producing knowledge) and of creation (imagining solutions and alternative futures).
Collaborative artists
They work within a collective or an individual basis, but are always more attracted towards collaborative processes, becoming engines for social interaction, stimulating participation and acting as catalysts for teams.
Multidisciplinary artists
Most artists who take part in DISONANCIAS are not restricted to one specific discipline, but select their formal tools in accordance with the project to be developed. Many come from a background covering both artistic and technical/scientific fields.
Artists with an international vision
These are artists accustomed to working on international projects and who have a wide network of contacts.
The calls are open to artists or artists’ collectives of any age, nationality or place of residence. It is essential that the artists understand that they are not developing an autonomous project of creation, but working around concepts and prerequisites that are defined by each host entity. The principal objective is the investigation and/or development of a prototype, procedure or idea that responds to the needs of the organisation.
